Myrlen manufactures the "Airsweep" system, a simple and innovative system to address product discharge issues from storage hoppers. The Airsweep directs powerful pulses of air between material and the wall of the container. They are strategically positioned within the bin to maintain a positive flow of material. The Airsweep is very cost and energy efficient. It typically requires less the 10 CFM of air, which is much less than air pads, air cannons, or pneumatic vibrators. There is no damage, vibration, or stress to the walls of the container. They are easy to install, even on existing equipment.
The Airsweep features only one moving part, making it very durable and long lasting. The machined parts form a dust tight seal, quickly reclosing and sealing after firing. It can be applied in any situation where material bridges or builds up. It is effective with moist, dense, and tangled materials and can be used in high temperature applications, up to 900° F.
